About Us

Our Story...

In summer 2025, Anita and Ava came together with a shared idea: to bring joy to older adults through their passion for dance. Inspired by their personal experiences, both of their grandfathers were diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, they wanted to create a meaningful way to support elderly individuals living with Parkinson’s and dementia. Starting with a small, but meaningful performance, Together in Motion was formed. â€‹A nonprofit dance program that brings joy, movement, and connection to older adults with Parkinson’s and dementia. We lead weekly classes in senior living homes, using music and gentle dance to improve mood, memory, and mobility. Research has shown that dance can boost brain health and even slow cognitive decline, and our goal is to see change through our weekly classes. Together in Motion moves together, laughs together, and heals together through rhythm.
